UTSA is LSU’s first scheduled non-conference opponent for the 2027 season. The Tigers were previously scheduled to play the Oklahoma Sooners in 2027, but that will have to be a conference game, though it depends on future SEC conference schedule rotations.
In addition to playing at LSU in 2027, UTSA is scheduled to host the Texas State Bobcats on Sept. 8 and travel to face the New Mexico State Aggies on Sept. 22. The Tennessee Volunteers added Governor Austin Peay and the UTSA Roadrunners. to the 2023 football schedule, the school announced Wednesday.

The UTSA Roadrunners will travel to face Tennessee on September 23, 2023 at Neyland Stadium. The game will mark the first meeting between the two schools in football.

With the offensive and defensive previews complete, it’s time to turn our attention to the all-important wins and losses. That will determine whether UTSA reaches a bowl game or spends its third bowl season watching from home.
Fb: C Usa Announces 2023 Schedule
It’s a tough but exciting schedule for the Roadrunners as they don’t leave the state of Texas until the second week of November. Barring a bowl game or conference championship, UTSA will only travel out of state twice in 2019, with UTSA making a quick trip across the Louisiana border to face the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
However, don’t forget the lack of mileage for an easy schedule for Frank Wilson’s team. The Roadrunners will face two Power 5 programs this year and two conference champions in UIW and UAB. Let’s take a look at our predictions for every game on UTSA’s schedule.
Adrian – UIW had a great season last year. They boast a co-conference championship and are undefeated behind a potent offense at home in San Antonio. They are well coached and therefore will be well prepared, but UTSA’s size and athletic talent should be better than what UIW can handle. It will be a fun game with some back and forth, but eventually the Roadrunners will run away with it.
Is Utsa Football Underrated?
Jared – While I’m a UTSA fan overstating the threat UIW poses to the Road Runners, the Cardinals are still a well-coached program that will put up a fight. UIW will expose some of the weaknesses in the Roadrunners’ secondary, but UTSA should be able to overcome the Cardinals’ small streak to secure two or three wins.
ADRIAN – Unfortunately for UTSA, this wasn’t the same battered Baylor team that saw the Roadrunners win their first P5 two years ago. Now it’s a veteran team ready to correct Briles’ mistakes and compete for the top spot in the Big 12. Also, there will be a couple with a bad taste in their mouths considering UTSA’s loss to Baylor. . A young UTSA gets a rough welcome to the next level of college football.
Jared – Baylor will surprise a lot of people in the Big 12 this year and will handle the Roadrunners with ease. I expect some of the veterans on the Baylor team will want to even the score after UTSA upset the Bears in Waco two years ago.
Alabama Football Schedule: Dates, Times, Tv Channels, Scores
ADRIAN – UTSA fans can get excited about all the Army football fans visiting a military town, but when it comes to competition, UTSA has a hard time matching Army’s mouthy style. This will be the second explosion in a row.
Jared – Honestly, it could be bad. UTSA has no real experience returning at linebacker, which is a recipe for disaster against the team’s choice. I would love it if UTSA kept this remote.
ADRIAN – UNT has proven to be the class of the C-USA West in recent years, and head coach Seth Littrell’s job has been right. UTSA should be able to put up a good fight, but it needs to be better before hanging with the Mean Green. The Birds lost their first conference game.
Nm State, Utsa Agree To Four Game Series
Jared – This matchup is always fun, but I’m not sure UTSA will be ready to pull off the C-USA West favorite. I take the Mean Green in a scrappy battle that will keep both teams on their toes until the final whistle.
ADRIAN – UTSA-UTEP has never failed to deliver in a hockey game. I expect it to be the same this year, a small program that is struggling to win can only go against a very young UTSA team. The Roadrunners came out on top.
Jared – I expect some serious offensive struggles for the Miners this year, so they can slow things down. While the Roadrunners offense was bad in 2018, they produced a lot of athletes with more skills than the Miners could claim. Runners in the dirty game.
Mountain West Announces 2021 Football Schedule
Adrian – Give me this game as a huge upset of UTSA. UAB was supposed to be a heavy favorite, but after graduating more than 30 guys from last year’s championship roster, they’re almost putting together a new team. It was back and forth and UTSA pulled out a thriller in the end.
Jared – The Blazers should bounce back this season, even if the light schedule doesn’t look like it. I don’t think we’ll see a repeat of last year’s blowout, but UAB is still a great team from top to bottom.
ADRIAN – Rice, like UTEP, is struggling from a heavy hangover period, although the Owls are making some headway. They were not a problem for UTSA in the homecoming game; Made it three game winning streak for the Roadrunners.
Utsa Roadrunners 2019 Season Preview
Jared – I don’t think Rice will win many games this year, but it will be a headache for most teams on their schedule. The Owls still put together a decent offense, but it’s so different from the rest of the conference that teams can adjust to counter Rice’s bully ball approach. UTSA should win this one at home, but I don’t expect it to be a cake walk.
Adrian – It’s been brutal for our conference slate for UTSA, to be honest. Fans will like to visit the lore of Kyle Field, but do not expect many matches. UTSA will have some good moments, but will be handled in the end.
Jared – UTSA has praised the Aggies before, but I don’t see that happening again. A&M will have to take care of business against UTSA, despite being notorious for having a meltdown in November…
Utsa Punishes Texas Southern With Lopsided 52 24 Win At The Alamodome
Adrian – Old Dominions always seem better than expected. They have a lot of kinks and roster spots to work out as the season opens, but so does UTSA. This game could go either way, but I think UTSA’s talent will push them past the Monarchs.
Jared – With so many question marks surrounding both programs, this game might be the most consistent on UTSA’s schedule. With both programs coming off new quarterbacks this year, this game could be the most successful of the season. I bet on Frank Harris.
Adrian – I think UTSA has a chance to put it all together. Of course, Southern Miss will be a strong team that will do well
