2023 Twins Promotional Schedule – Major League Baseball’s 2022 Opening Day will take place on Thursday, March 31, with all thirty teams participating. The Twins will spend today at Guaranteed Raid Field in Chicago against the White Sox.
The 2022 home opener at Target Field is Thursday, April 7 against the Seattle Mariners. After four games against the Mariners. 2022 will mark the second straight year the Twins will face the Mariners for their home opener and the third time in the last five seasons.

The promotion coincides with a series of other promotions on the player development side, promoting director of agriculture Alex Hassan to vice president of pitching development and acquisitions after three seasons in his previous role. Assistant Director of Player Development Drew McPhail will be the Twins’ new Director of Player Development.
Frankie Padullo, who has been on Baldelli’s staff as pitching coordinator, will move out of the dugout and into the front office as the new assistant director of player development. His counterpart, defensive coordinator Colby Suggs, was promoted to bullpen coach midway through his 22nd season.
